Here is a picture of the slow rendering Moral of the story my lap top sucks. My new desktop is beast. I am wondering if its a codec issue? I installed Xvid, and Divx, I am not a genius at this at all but I know something is very wrong. Please help if you can.

And here, it took 10 minutes for my desktop to render frames. Here is my brand new machine. Ur problem seems to be ur processor which I think u should please change it at the earliest. Maybe that is defective and it is not giving u the result. Have you tried convert to some other video codec in vegas?

Thanks everyone for responding and giving me some ideas. I read the Article about Ram stuff I did switch ram to mhz instead of mhz and no change in performance. In terms of other things I am doing gaming like a charm, performance exceeding that of my laptop, rightly so.

Its a hardware bottleneck somewhere and I am not sure how to start finding it. I am gonna try Sony Vegas Pro 12 maybe there is something in it that will work better with my hardware configuration.
